Upcoming Film Production in Our Town

I am pleased to share some exciting news for our community: HBO MAX, a major film production company, has chosen our town as the backdrop for their next project, “Latitude“, bringing substantial benefits to our local economy. Filming in our town not only showcases our unique charm to a global audience but also generates significant income for local businesses and highlights our community as a prime location for future projects. Additionally, this will bring a significant monetary donation to our Piru Neighborhood Council that will be used directly to support our Piru community.

Thank you HBO MAX!

The Piru Neighborhood Council is excited to announce that our town has received its largest donation to date from a film production company—an incredibly generous contribution from HBO MAX that will have a direct and lasting impact on our community.

This donation will be used to fund much-needed infrastructure repairs, bring improvements to our local amenities such as public places to go to during power outages and emergencies, a new River Walk by Warring Park, expand programs for our Youth, Seniors and Veterans, as well as host our annual community events.

The partnership with the filming industry has provided us with a unique opportunity to fund essential projects without placing additional financial strain on our residents. The funds we receive from these productions allow us to maintain and enhance our town, and the latest contribution will help us continue improving the quality of life for everyone who calls this place home.

While these productions require flexibility and understanding from all of us, including temporary changes to our environment and routines, the benefits are undeniable. The sets, facades, and structures that filmmakers put in place to make our town appear like a bustling rural farm town not only make for great shows but also bring in revenue that directly supports our town’s development.

We are truly fortunate to attract such large and high-profile productions, and the PNC would like to express our deepest thanks to HBO MAX for their generosity and commitment to our community.

Your cooperation and patience in accommodating the needs of these film projects are what make these partnerships possible, and the PNC could not be more grateful for the spirit of community that makes this all work. Thank you, and let’s continue working together to make our town a great place for residents and visitors alike!
